Roles in international conferences

In 2016 I co-chaired two panel sessions at the European International Business Academy annual meeting in Vienna, Austria (both with Lena Zander, Uppsala University):

  • One for All and (or) All for One: Leveraging Cultural Diversity with Global Team Leadership; and
  • The Benefits of Global Teams for International Organizations: HR Implications.

In 2015 I organized two symposia at the Academy of Management annual meeting in Vancouver, Canada:

  •  Team-Based Organizations in a Global World (with Lena Zander and Gundula Lücke, Uppsala University); and
  • Making a Difference with Global Leadership: What Can Firms, People and Business Schools Do? (with Lena Zander, Uppsala University, Christina Butler, Kingston University, and Markus Vodosek, German Graduate School of Management & Law).

In 2014 I co-chaired a panel session at the European International Business Academy annual meeting in Uppsala, Sweden: Team-Based Global Organizations: The Future of Global Organizing (with Lena Zander, Uppsala University and Christina Butler, Kingston University).

A roundtable discussion about how to tackle leadership challenges in an increasingly culturally complex world.

Track chair 2007 ANZIBA annual conference. Track: The Context of Global Business.

In 2006 I was one of the main organizers of the Australia and New Zealand International Business Academy (ANZIBA) annual conference as Program Chair. The conference took take place in Wellington, New Zealand on November 16-18. Conference website.

In 2004 I was one of the main organizers (member of the Program and Organizing committees) of the international conference Catalysts and Impediments of Economic Development in Central and Eastern Europe, sponsored by Vilnius University from October 14-15. I also compiled the conference proceedings and edited a special issue of Research in International Business and Finance, dedicated to the conference.

I was also a Program committee member for the international CIBER and Stockholm School of Economics conference International Business in Transition Economies, held on September 9-11, 2004, in Riga, Latvia.
